An exterior shear wall was replaced by an unconventional upside down steel moment frame with below cabinet cross bracing. There is no tell-tale header beam to interrupt the pattern of this post and beam Eichler style house. A custom cabinet clad in glass tile appears to float between the columns of this steel frame.
